Odegaard: “Arsenal won’t fear Bayern in UEFA Champions League quarter-final”

Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard has said that his team should not “fear” Harry Kane ahead of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final clash against Bayern Munich on Tuesday, live on TNT Sports.

Odegaard: “Arsenal won’t fear Bayern in UEFA Champions League quarter-final”

“I don’t think Arsenal should be afraid of anyone (in the Champions League),” Martin Odegaard shared on The Times . “We have to focus on ourselves and the quality we have in the team.”

Last weekend, an impressive victory over Brighton in round 32 of the Premier League helped Arsenal continue to maintain their impressive form. Mikel Arteta’s team have won 10 of their 11 Premier League matches since the start of the year and have conceded just four goals.

Meanwhile, Bayern took a serious shot. The 2-3 loss to Heidenheim in round 28 of the Bundesliga, with a two-goal lead, caused the defending German champions to almost surrender in the race with Bayer Leverkusen.

Odegaard believes that Bayern’s current form is quite strange compared to the Bavarian club’s ability. “Bayern is a strong team with many good attacking players,” the Norwegian player assessed. “They have some strange results in the domestic league. But if you look at the quality of their squad, we know they are a really strong team.”

For the first time in more than a decade, Arsenal is rated higher than Bayern Munich in the knockout round of the Champions League. Even Bayern CEO Max Eberl admitted that the German club “has little hope of beating Arsenal in the Champions League”.
