Jurgen Klopp: I have no plans ahead of departure at end of season

Last January, coach Jurgen Klopp shocked everyone when he announced his farewell to Liverpool after the end of this season. Currently, the German strategist is trying to help The Reds win the last two titles, the Premier League and Europa League.

After announcing his departure from Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp was contacted for the job of coach of the German national team. However, for his part, the 56-year-old coach affirmed that he has no intention of continuing his coaching career in the near future.

“At this time, I have no plans to continue my coaching career. Ask me in a year. And now I don’t know how to answer. I don’t have any plans yet,” Klopp shared.

Coach Jurgen Klopp was appointed Liverpool coach in 2015. During 9 years of service, he turned The Reds into a force in England and Europe with a series of titles such as Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, Super Cup, FIFA Club World Cup.

This season, Liverpool won the League Cup championship. In the Premier League, The Reds are ranked 2nd, equal on points with the top team (Arsenal) but with a poor goal difference. And tomorrow morning, coach Jurgen Klopp and his team will face Atalanta in the quarterfinals of the first leg of the Europa League.

To replace Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool has targeted Xabi Alonso as the number 1 target for the hot seat at Anfield. However, Coach Alonso has announced that he will continue to stick with Leverkusen next season.

According to British media, after failing to lure Xabi Alonso, Liverpool reached a verbal agreement with Sporting CP coach Ruben Amorim.
