This situation happened in the 86th minute of Al-Nassr’s match against Al-Hilal this morning (April 9). After a fierce dispute with Ali Al Bulayhi, Ronaldo aggressively stood up and elbowed the Saudi defender.

As a result, Ronaldo was given a direct red card. When he was sent off, the Portuguese player raised his fist to hit referee Mohammed Al Hoaish.

In this match, Mr. Mohammed Al Hoaish punished Ronaldo twice. Previously, the Saudi Arabian referee gave CR7 a yellow card at 45+6 minutes.

Notably, despite playing without players due to Ronaldo being sent off, Al-Nassr scored an honorable goal thanks to Mane in the 90+9 minute. Previously, Al-Nassr conceded twice in minutes 61 (Salem Al Dawsari opened the score) and 72 (Malcom scored).

In the end, Al-Nassr lost to Al-Hilal with a score of 1-2, thereby being eliminated in the Saudi Super Cup. This is the second cup arena where Al-Nassr failed this season after being eliminated in the AFC Champions League.

In addition to the two tournaments mentioned above, Al-Nassr also lost in the Saudi League championship race. After 27 rounds, Ronaldo and his teammates ranked second in the rankings with 12 points behind top team Al-Hilal.

The only arena where Al-Nassr still has a chance to win the cup in the 2023-24 season is the King’s Cup, where they reached the quarterfinals, and will meet Al-Khaleej on May 2.

Thus, Ronaldo has only won one title since moving to Saudi Arabia: the 2023 Arab Club Champions Cup.
